AAU/USA KARATE TEAM COMPETED IN SLOVENIA

The AAU/USA Karate Team recently returned from Slovenia where 26 Athletes, 2 National Team Coaches and 3 AAU/USA International Certified Referees – where they took part in the United World Karate - 1st World Championships.

The AAU/USA Karate Team recently returned from Slovenia where 26 Athletes, 2 National Team Coaches and 3 AAU/USA International Certified Referees – where they took part in the United World Karate - 1st World Championships.
The World Championships were held at the Bonifika Arena from October 12th through the 19th in Koper, Slovenia.
During the event, athletes participated in Kata, Kumite and in Team Events and brought home 20 Medals.
The medal count is as follows:
- 10 Gold Medals – Jessica Kwong (2), Mallory Johnson (1), Kaitlyn Leslie (1), Reagan Moore (1), Johnathon Morrow (1), Joe Musumeci (1), Brian Hilliard (1), Tina Serfozo (1), Amadou Diallo (1)
- 4 Silver Medals – Angela Hastings (1), Austin Nault (1), Kaitlyn Leslie (1), Austin Galeski (1)
- 6 Bronze Medals – Alexis O’Campo (1), Amadou Diallo (1), Reagan Moore (1), Paul Sweetow (1), Ryan Gonzalez (1), Cadet Male Team Kumite (1)
