The 2006 AAU Karate National Championship is quickly approaching and Karate fans across the nation are excitedly preparing for it. Set to take place June 26-July 1 in Miami, Florida, this AAU National Championship event promises to be spectacular.

 

Hosted by the Miami Dade Sports Commission and the Florida Sports Foundation, the Karate National Championship competition will take place in the Pharmed Arena on the Florida International University campus.

 

The competition will be open to ages 5 and older to 35 and older. All events will be split by both age divisions and level including beginner, novice, intermediate, and advanced. The events will include Kobudo (long and short for advanced), Kata, and Kumite (light and heavy).

 
 

In addition to the exciting Karate action set to take place there is an AAU Karate National Championship Night at a Florida Marlins baseball game. On Wednesday, June 28 terrace box tickets are available to competitors for the Marlins-Tampa Bay Devil Rays game at 7:05 PM.

 

With over 1800 competitors from across the nation expected, this year's AAU Karate National Championship event promises to be one for the ages.
