Meet J. J. Yu-Robinson - 1 of 7 Athletes Participating at the ISF High School Games In Morocco

Seven AAU Karate athletes were chosen to represent the United States on behalf of the AAU at the ISF High School Games in Morocco. In this article, meet J.J. Yu-Robnison from Triangle\'s Best Karate.

J. J. Yu-Robinson, 15 years old and is one of just seven athletes representing the United States at the ISF High School Games in Morocco. 

A little about J.J.:

  • 10th grader at Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh where he plays on the Football Team
  • Member of Triangle's Best Karate under the instruction of Sensei Steve Robinson & Sensei Cyndy Yu-Robinson
  • Won Gold in Kumite at the WUKF World Championships (Dublin, 2016)beating 120 competitors in 7 matches in Mini-Cadets (ages 13-14).
  • Won silver in kata and three golds and one silver in kumite at the 2017 AAU National Karate Championships
  • Promoted to Nidan (second degree black belt) in 2015 and leads 3 karate classes a week
